Kidney Stones and Constipation?

I recently had to go to the ER because of a Kidney Stone and they had given me some pain meds while I was there along with some pain/nausia pills to take home. They said the stone would have to run its course until i pee it out, and while I am no longer in excruciating pain I think I might have passed it..maybe. I haven't made any bowel movements all day, and I feel the need to because my stomach aches (possibly because I still have the stone?). In addition It feels as if my insides are "sore" making it all the more difficult to push. Is this normal? What should I do if anything?
