I was wondering what to expect...?

(continued) when someone is in the late stages of cystic fibrosis (my girlfriend) and ready to give up fighting and go in to hospice care. Would the doctors make her comfortable? If she chooses to do no more chest and back percussion and forgo all antibiotic treatment how long would she suffer before passing away? She only weighs about 75 pounds and constantly has a fever, of 100 to 104. She has coughing seizures to the point of passing out. She just had a few sections of her small and large bowel removed that no longer worked (impactions) and it caused a back up all the way to her stomach, to the point of vomiting. She does not want to be put under, and put on a ventilator since this would prolong the death process. She is trying to get out of the bed, fighting the doctors, and hallucinating. Could this go on for weeks or are we near the end? It is so hard on me to see her suffer like this not to mention how to talk to our 4 year old little girl about it.
