Bf loses sex drive after trauma?

sorry if this is tl;dr my fiance was in a traumatic accident and he lost his sex drive. he was in ICU for a month with a condom catheter, medicine of course, ventilator etc. he was in rehab and GI for two months. he currently is on a fluids while he sleeps with a central line. he has all of his strength back and other than the fact he's on fluids he lives a normal life. my question is: did he lose his sex drive because of the traumatic experience or is it just me or is he just not healthy enough? i know this all sounds retarded but having sex on my honeymoon or in general would be nice. i'd appreciate any answer that could help.
