Two questions about respiration. Help?

1. How does your IRV compare to your ERV? How would you explain the difference? 2. A ventilator is a piece of medical equipment that maintains respiratory movements in a person who is unable to breath on their own. In a young, otherwise healthy person who has been paralyzed in a car crash, should the ventilator be adjusted to maximize the volume of the air exhaled by the person? Explain.
