Has anyone ever used adult diapers for their period?

I haven't used adult diapers, but I've used something else for my heavy periods. You know those things that they use on hospital beds? I think it's called a chuck or something like that. You can buy them at walmart. Anyway, on the nights when it's really heavy, I wear a tampon and use a pad with old underwear and a night shirt. Sometimes when I'd use the chuck in bed, it would get all messed up and move around and not do much good. So I started sleeping in the recliner, using a chuck. That way, the flow is going in 1 direction and it's turned out to be less messy, as far as leaks.
