Ear candling with an ear infection?

3 days ago i woke up with excruciating pain in my ear. my mom looked at my ear with a flashlight and said there was a lot of blockage. i went to the walk in clinic and was prescribed antibiotics. I then saw my doctor and she prescribed me drops and pain killers. She looked in my ear and told me there was a lot of wax build up. I've done ear candling before because generally, i do have a lot of wax. do you think with my infection it will help?
